Howard Millar is Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Stellwagen Capital. Howard Millar has 23 years of proven entrepreneurial and financial skills with significant public markets experience in driving Ryanair to become the largest and most profitable airline in Europe with 106 million passengers during 2015 with a market capitalisation of over $19bn. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive of Ryanair for 11 years, and for 12 years prior to that as Finance Director. During his career with Ryanair, Howard negotiated the acquisition of 730 aircraft with a list value of $57 billion; he originated and led the first €850 million 7 year unsecured bond issuance at a fixed coupon of 1.875%; he successfully executed the company’s IPO and $700 million equity funding programmes; and he completed the disposal of 30 used aircraft with a value of $800 million in a multi-purchaser programme. Howard is currently a non-executive director of Ryanair, Irelandia Aviation (Ryan family investment company with investments in Viva Aerobus (Mexico) and Viva Colombia), ASL Airlines and Applegreen plc. He also serves as Chairman of BDO a leading professional services firm. Howard is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants and was awarded a B.Sc Mgnt. (Hons) from Trinity College Dublin.
Edward Hansom Chief Risk Officer of Stellwagen Capital. Prior to joining Aviation Finance Company, now Stellwagen Capital Limited, in 2014 he worked as an independent aircraft finance consultant specializing in business strategy, capital markets and risk management. Previously, he worked for GPA Group (subsequently AerFi) as their Chief Financial Officer. His achievements at GPA included leadership roles in the development of the Japanese Operating Lease market and the Aircraft Asset-Backed Securities market. He also played a key role in the restructuring of GPA, including the acquisition of Indigo Aviation and ultimate sale of the business to debis airFinance. Previously, Edward worked in London and Paris for Bank of Nova Scotia and Schroders. Edward received Master’s degrees from Magdalen College, Oxford in Modern Languages and the Manchester Business School.
Pradeep Hathiramani is Chief Investment Officer at Stellwagen Capital drawing on his experience in asset based lending, leasing, capital markets, and alternative investment management. In 2013 he founded First Star Aviation, an international aircraft leasing portfolio company for BDC Fifth Street Finance, and built a global portfolio of aircraft delivering high-teen unlevered returns in just five quarters. Previously, Pradeep was Principal and Sector Head of Transportation in Kohlberg Kravis Roberts’ Asset Management business where he led credit investments. His roles included origination, investment selection as well as portfolio management of leveraged loans, high yield bonds, direct lending, mezzanine and special situations investments managing over $800 million. Prior to that, Pradeep was a Director in the aircraft leasing group of GATX Financial Corporation (now Macquarie AirFinance). He started his finance career at Citibank in the US West Coast investment banking group. Pradeep received an A.B. in Economics with a minor in French from Vassar College where he was class Valedictorian. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Michelle O’Toole is Head of Investor Relations at Stellwagen Capital. Prior to joining Stellwagen Capital in April 2016, Michelle was a Vice President at Jefferies in the Private Capital Group. Previously, she was a Director at Blackstone (Park Hill Group) where she worked within the EMEA Private Equity team based in London. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2011, Michelle was an Associate at Lehman Brothers/Nomura where she advised clients on M&A transactions in the Consumer & Retail Sectors. She received a BSc. degree in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin and a MSc. in Finance and Capital Markets from Dublin City University.
